Rememberance

Today, I was proud to be a part of the Ellicott School District Veteran’s Day celebration. Speaking and honoring veterans who have served and are serving. I paused after calling the gym full of veterans to “attention” for TAPS, during the moment of silence it hit me how many of our brothers and sisters are not mentioned, who have departed this world, and those who are suffering and unable to attend. Before giving the command “as you were”, I thought about those who are suffering from the invisible wounds of war. There are so many living a life and not realizing their military brothers and sisters are willing and able to stand beside them.
